Problems in the structure of the engine cylinder block The existing engine cylinder block design has the following problems: (1) The cylinder block weight is too large.The existing engine cylinder block is made of aluminum alloy material. Although it is lightweight, it still has a large weight. This will not only affect the performance and power output of the car, but also increase the fuel consumption. ( 2) Insufficient thermal compensation. Due to the large coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum alloy materials, it will produce different expansions at different temperatures. In response to this problem, the existing cylinder block design adopts methods such as too long cylinder blocks or adding heat sinks, but this method cannot solve all the problems. ( 3) The manufacturing cost is too high. The existing engine cylinder block adopts a split structure and needs to carry out different processing operations during the manufacturing process, such as milling, hinge and hole processing. These processing operations will not only increase manufacturing costs, but also affect their production efficiency and quality. III. Improvement plan In view of the above problems, the following improvement plan is proposed in this paper: (1) Carbon fiber material is adopted.Carbon fiber material is not only light in weight, but also has excellent thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. At the same time, its coefficient of thermal expansion is close to that of aluminum alloy, which can better meet the needs of thermal compensation. ( 2) Adopt an integrated design. The integrated design can integrate the cylinder block, partial cooler and air intake and other structures to form a whole. This can reduce the processing operation in the manufacturing process and reduce the cost at the same time. ( 3) Strengthen the thermal design. Adopt a heat dissipation structure that is more in line with the working characteristics of the engine to achieve better thermal control. At the same time, the distribution and transmission of heat can be controlled through software-assisted thermal design. ( 4) Optimize the structural design. By adopting computer simulation technology, the design of the engine cylinder block structure is optimized to achieve the best shape and strength. At the same time, material analysis can be carried out, so as to better achieve the goal of lightweighting and optimization.IV. Conclusion The engine cylinder block structure is an important part of the engine, and its excellent performance directly affects the output performance of the engine and the overall use effect of the car.
